Cassie is a mid-20 something Black, pan woman and a Ghana native who also calls Chicago home. Raised in academic institutions, Cassie is prepared to put all she has learned to good use with the pursuit of a policy-driven career after she completes her PhD.
Her research examines the socio-political, legal, and policy factors that instigate the high maternal death rates among Black women and mothers in the US and in Ghana.
